Annette Turrillo

Annette Turrillo (Caracas, Venezuela) se orienta hacia el tema de la reflexión e introspección del ser humano, a medida que observa su condición y lugar en el universo. En particular, la artista se enfoca en la responsabilida que tiene el ser humano, de mantener la belleza y la armonía de nuestro planeta. En un trabajo artístico que incluye pinturas, instalaciones y tecnología multimedia, Turrillo crea una atmósfera de retraimiento y misterio que invita a la interacción con el espectador como un participante más, y no solo como un mero observador.

A través de la estrecha relación con el espectador, la artista aspira a transmitirle con profunda resonancia, la significación de su mensaje: el medio ambiente es la base existencial de toda la creación.

Mediante imágenes que se han convertido en un lenguaje metafórico y simbólico, que revela la presencia de la humanidad, la artista utiliza el rostro como ícono para reflexionar sobre nuestro mundo interior y el de nuestra imaginación creativa, para hacer las cosas personales y completas. Cada rostro es transformado por la fuerza de la esencia espiritual y es también iluminado por la luz de la armonía interior. Estas cualidades metafísicas se expresan en sutiles pinceladas, imágenes efusivas y delicados detalles. La intensa atmósfera luminosa exalta la belleza de la humanidad como símbolo de vida y amor donde la encarnación de la naturaleza es una expresión de reverencia. Presentadas como una referencia a los ciclos de la vida y del movimiento de los planetas como fuente de meditación, Turrillo busca la paz universal y su comprensión a través del arte.

Los trabajos de Annette Turrillo trascienden lo físico al tiempo que revelan el misterioso medio ambiente de toda existencia terrenal. Es un mensaje de valor para todos, que se adapta a la galería del Frost Art Museum, que dedicamos a las artes curativas y el medio ambiente.
